...Chapped Lips...

Chapped lips really do give new meaning to the expression "crack a smile". So to avoid feeling and looking like Oscar the Grouch this Christmas and winter season try these useful little tips. They just might put the smile back on your face.

1. Try the balm solution - Before you go out coat your lips. Remember to take it with you to reapply often beings the lips don't hold anything on them very well or for very long.

2. Women wear lipstick.

3. Take vitamins - Nutritional deficiencies such as B-complex vitamins and iron can play a part in scaling of the lips.

4. Chapped lips can be a dehydration problem as well so drink plenty of fluids such as water and juices.

...Acne...

Acne is really a catchall term used for a variety of symptoms such as pimples, whiteheads, and blackheads. "It's a condition where the pores of the skin become clogged and a person can get inflamed and noninflamed lesions.
So what's the cause of all the clogging? Not sex, not Chocolate, or even dirty hair or skin, but "Heredity" at least for the most part. It is an inherited defect of your pores. It tends to run in families. If both parents had Acne then three out of four sibs will have bouts with Acne.
So here's some blemish - free advice.
1. Change your makeup. Oil based makeup is the problem.
2. Read the labels - products that contain lanolins, isopropyl myristate, sodium lauryl sulfate. Like oil these are to rich for the skin.
3. Rinse - Wash your face morning and at night, rinsing thoroughly.
4. If you use an OTC be sure to use only one treatment at a time.
5. Stop the spread of Acne by spreading your Acne medicine about a half inch around the affected area.

...The Bugs Abound...

I think this is the start of the yearly sick bugs that flow around our public schools. My little Grand-daughter who in pre-K is in the ER as I write this. For a week now she has been fighting a bug that has her vomiting and very conjestant. The medicine she is taking already just don't seem to clear it up. She will probably be in the Hospital for a while on a drip...
So I am here to give some tips again:

1. Wash your hands as often as possible. Parents send wet one travel packs with your kids to school.
2. Eat plenty of fresh fruit and raw veggies.
3. Drink lots of fluids: juices, and filtered water
4. Eat three meals a day of an assortment of unprocessed foods.

...Body Odor...

Body Odor, not something most of us bloggers would write about right...
Well when it comes to health - Mental, social, or otherwise body odor is just as important as anything else is. Let's face it, if you want to win friends and influence people - don't stink.
Now for some people that is easier said than done some say...Yet don't give up. If you continue reading you will find a secret in these few tips that works everytime.

1. Scrub - a - dub -dub - Most often body odor is caused by a combination of perspiration and bacteria. Scrubbing with soap and water will wash both culprits away.
2. Wash more than your body, keep your clothes clean as well, and change often.
3. Use antiperspirants. If these cause a rash then use a topical antibiotic cream. It will work just like deodorants do just without the perfumes.
4. For those that nothing seams to work. Try an old dog trick. Put a couple cups of tomato juice in with your bath water and sit in it for about 15 minutes. This works about 100% of the time.
